Stoney Ridge Estate Winery Dim Vineyard Riesling 2008, V.Q.A., Creek Shores, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Vintages Wine Panel: This wine won a Gold Medal at the 2009 All Canadian Wine Championships. This pretty wine features aromas of apricot, peach and a hint of honey. Medium dry with good fruit, the wine is balanced by a crisp acidity. Enjoy this long-finishing wine with mildly spiced calamari dishes. My note: A crisp, refreshing Riesling with attractive notes of lime and lemongrass. Good aperitif. Dry and appealing with fine fruit surrounded by gentle tannins and a hint of refreshing acidity. A great value from an up-and-coming region. My note: A tasty, full-bodied red with generous notes of black raspberries and blackberries. Supple with a satisfyingly long finish.
