A nice, everyday wine to enjoy amongst friends. Pair it with a variety of dishes or even just a cheese and charcuterie board. It has a good acidity with a medium body - very easy drinking and not overpowering. Notes of red fruits like cranberries and raspberries with some spice on the finish that adds a nice element to its structure. There is something pleasant about its simplicity and authenticity, and the great price point doesn’t hurt either!

Full bodied, lush and rich; lots of prunes, blackberries, red cherries, figs, and smokiness, with a touch of mocha on the finish. These flavours call for a nice piece of grilled striploin with a rich peppery sauce. It’s a balance between dried fruit intensity versus acidity, making it a great wine to enjoy with food but also by itself. This Amarone benefits from sitting in a decanter for an hour or two before enjoying - it brings out the right balances in flavour. I also found that the wine tastes even better the day after opening the bottle. It's hard to find a quality Amarone for under $40 but this is definitely one of them.

This is a stunning Brunello beginning with rose, truffles, dark cherries and tobacco on the nose, followed with earthy and leathery notes as well as red cherries and white pepper on the palate. A silky texture but with evident tannins, this wine has great structure and delivers everything you’d expect from a good Brunello - full and robust with excellent fruit! As a bonus, it's packaged with a very modern label. A great wine for the price point - worth every penny!

The winery started over 300 years ago, and you can truly taste the experience in their wines. Le cailloux means 'the pebbles’ - this wine is named after the cobblestone that fills the vineyards and contributes to its unique flavours. Bold, full bodied, rich and robust - as many red Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are. It has quite an extensive length with red fruit, leather, and peppery notes on the palate. Very enjoyable wine - have on its own, or with heavily roasted or braised meat dishes. Good for its price.

Now this wine has the type of complexity I love - I find it to be extra appealing especially on the mid palate! The finish is long and complex and makes you want to come back for more. From a family run winery that have been making wines for almost 200 years, this is a classic textbook white Burgundy: Medium bodied with apples, pears and very delicate creamy buttery notes.
