Andrew scored this wine: 100/100

Only 0.8ha of the original, larger, vineyard planted in 1880 remain; the dry-grown 130-year-old vines produce this deeply coloured wine, showing little or no sign of development, the palate reflecting the bouquet, with a tightly woven stream of black fruits, pepper, licorice and bramble; the balance, line and length are perfect, and the good quality, precisely inserted cork should allow this wine to cruise through many decades to come. Drink by: 2060. Score - 97. (James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au, July 27, 2014)
