Why This Wine: The nose showcases sour red cherry with hints of raspberry, cherry, rhubarb and cranberry. The palate is full of ripe red berry fruit with a hint of spice and a perfect balance of acidity and tannins. Norm makes incredible pizza in a wood-fired oven on site, using vegetables grown alongside his grape vines!
Why This Wine: The soft tannins and supple weight of this wine lends itself to be very versatile when matching with food. Steak, cambozola and fresh marinara topped pizza paired with multiple glasses of Smoke & Gamble Reserve Cabernet Merlot is a great way to start off any weekend!
Why This Wine: Beautiful ripe red berries, vanilla, kirsch, raspberry syrup, blueberry pie, grandma's baking spices, and vanilla! Drinking incredibly now and will only improve with age as the fruit evolves into something even more complex. Enjoy with your favourite tomato-based pizza or be fancy and try a pear and gorgonzola pizza.
Why This Wine: My absolute fav NS red wine! Love the earth-smoke notes, dark berry fruit, good length, and silky tannins. Pair this with a thin crust pizza topped with sweet cherries, mushrooms, onion confit, smoky bacon, ricotta, and a fresh tomato sauce which plays great with the Baco's acid profile, it's a beautiful thing!
Why This Wine: I fell in love with Rosé when I had this salmon-hued medium-dry delightful cider on our patio. The maceration of strawberries and raspberries with the apples gives it a delicious tangy finish. I would love to try this with a margarita pizza or seafood linguini, but am happy to have it all by itself, and all by myself!
