Reif Estate Winery invites you to explore their Wine Sensory Garden at Canada Blooms March 16 through 25 at the Direct Energy Centre, in Toronto. Contemplate the colours, aromas and flavours used to describe wines in a relaxed garden oasis created by Mori Gardens. It is sure to inspire!
Reif Estate will share VQA wines that will pair perfectly with cheese samples presented by Dairy Farmers of Canada. Choose from a Riesling or Cabernet Merlot or try our Trend Wines by Steven and Chris. Great giveaways include garden party charms, recipe cards and special offers to visit the winery this summer.
If you can’t come to see us, stop by the LCBO to pick up a bottle of Reif wine or plan to take a trip to the winery this summer to visit Niagara-on-the-Lake’s first and only Wine Sensory Garden. The interpretive garden showcases plants that are representative of different grape varieties typically used to produce wines in the region.
For example, Riesling is interpreted in the light white wine section with plants that feature light foliage as well as apricot sage and honeysuckle representing the apricot and honey aromas that we associate with the wine. Full-bodied reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are represented with Chocolate Mint, Oregano, and Fennel and surrounded by plants with deep rich burgundy leaves that remind us of the colour of the wine. It is always a great time to visit wine country.
