Perfect Pizza and Wine Pairings: Meat Lovers, Hawaiian and Margherita Pizza

Pizza and wine were meant for each other as much as Fred and Ginger, Bonnie and Clyde, Kate and Will. However, there are big differences in the toppings of various pizzas, so the wines that pair best with them also change. I love these combos …
By the way, I had the wine Santa Margherita on the brain because it was one of the wines I recommended, but the pizza itself is just called Margherita. It’s names after the Italian queen… a local pizza maker in Naples used the colours of the Italian flag for his choice of toppings: green (basil), white (mozarella) and red (tomatoes). What’s your favourite wine and pizza pairing?

A delightful rose with a field of fresh strawberries and raspberries wafting up from the glass. So pretty! Medium-bodied. A real crowd pleaser, though you should also drink it on your own on the patio or deck: it pairs perfectly with that novel you've been wanting to read. Food matches: light goat cheese, salad, sushi.

So fun! We love to have pizza parties at our house where we roll out the dough and everyone takes turns in making their own. Thin crust, baked on a pizza stone, get creative! My fave is the prosciutto, dried fig, goat cheese combo with a little olive oil for the base. Any suggestions? Love the videos. Thanks!

Fun video! Next time I have pizza, I’m going to try these suggestions.

With prosciutto, fig and goat, I think a NZ Sauvignon Blanc would be amazing Kix!
