Of the couple hundred e-mails I get every day, many of them are about food and wine pairing. It got to the point where I either had to set up a toll-free help line, 1-800-CALL-NAT, or do a video series on finding delicious combinations.

Now people who care about matching food and wine can be viewed as a little obsessive—along with those who alphabetize their soup cans and color-coordinate their Kleenex. Just keep it simple, right: white wine with white meat, red wine with red meat.
