Segura Viudas Cava, Spain
Yum, smells like fresh baked bread just out from the oven! Wonderfully toasty, this bubbly will warm you after a day of sledding or skiing. Love the notes of hazelnuts too.  $14.65

Freixenet Cava Cordon Rosado, Spain
How festive is this pink bubbly? Aromas of ripe field raspberries tickle your note. Float a raspberry on top for an extra festive touch.  $12.65

Carmen Chardonnay Reserva, Chile
The 2010 Carmen Reserva Chardonnay wins the Best Brie Wine award! It’s caramel, toffee depths are a perfect backdrop for such a rich cheese. The green apple and citrus notes give the wine a mouth-watering vibrancy. Top me up! Pair with: lobster in butter, rich pasta dishes, lemon chicken. $10.00
Score: 87/100.

Errazuriz Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Aconcagua valley, Chile
A terrific value for this full-bodied, well-structured red! Aromas of dark berries and smoke make it an ideal companion for hearty meat dishes. $12.95

Alamos Malbec The Wines of Catena, Mendoza, Argentina
A pleasant sipper with lovely blackberry aromas. Medium- to full-bodied and smooth. A solidly made wine with terrific balance. Ripe blackberries and pepper. Perfect for barbecue and movie night. Pair with: lasagna. $13.95

Le Clos Jordanne Pinot Noir Claystone Terrace, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Twenty Mile Bench, Ontario
One of my favourite Pinot Noir producers in Canada, and this particular Pinot is my favourite of those that this winery produces: stylish, full-flavoured without being heavy, judiciously woven oak. Gorgeous notes of black cherry, beetroot and fresh-turned earth. It’s not cheap, but compared to pinot noir from Burgundy, France, it’s a steal! One for now or for the cellar. Drink: 2009-2018.  33951  $35
Score: 93/100.
